Beautiful design succeeds only when performant.

 

Conceptually the idea makes sense - allow users to select one or more photos to put into all their cards instead of showing the designs with marketing images. The users attachment to the design is heightened if a particular design works well with their photo. This project would not have succeeded unless the engineering team figured out how to do it in a performant way.

 

Users who use the feature convert at a sgnificantly higher rate, tests indicated the increased conversion for the group that used it resulted in overall conversion increasing by a few points.
